Learn to Barter

Pretend that the American economy has fallen and set up a system of trade. Choose three items you own and write down a description of each item and the value you feel it should receive on a separate piece of paper. In class, attempt to "barter" items with your classmates. You will not be forced to make a trade, and you must remember that you classmates may try to haggle with you about the value you have placed on your own items.

• Please do not bring items into class; bring only the written descriptions of the items themselves
