Hannukah Celebration

Hold a Hannukah celebration with the class. Explain each of the symbols involved and the background story to the ceremony. Have the students write about what kind of insight they gave them into Anne's culture.

Secret Santa

Have the students draw names of their fellow students out of a hat. Instruct them each to make a hand-crafted and personalized gift like the ones Anne made for all the people in the house on Hannukah.

A Day in the Life

Have the students take a block of time during the day or on a weekend where they follow all the restrictions placed on Anne while she was in hiding for over two years. Hold a discussion with the class about how these restrictions made them feel.
