Diary Entry

Pretend you are attending the first day of school. Write down diary entires for each day of the week describing your experiences and feelings. Make some of your entries comical and others reflective.

Cheese Touch

A piece of paper cheese is taped to the center of the room floor. Students answer questions about the novel, and for each wrong answer, they have to touch the cheese. That student is stuck with the cheese touch until another student misses a question, and then it is passed along to them.

Rodrick's Playlist

Using your knowledge of Rodrick and his band, create a playlist of songs that you think he would like. Find at least 7 songs, write down their titles, and then provide a small 2 sentence explanation for each song describing why you chose it. Use the author's portrayal of Rodrick to make your decisions as much as possible...
