• Decolonizing the Mind is a nonfiction collection of essays by Kenyan author Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o exploring the questions of language.
• Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o has made a transition from writing his novels and plays in English to writing in his native Gĩkũyũ and Swahili. The essays in this work explain why he has made this transition and why he believes other African authors should write in their native tongues for their own people.
