Lesson 1 (from Part I (Pages 1 - 61))

Objective

The objective of this lesson is for students to compare and contrast the characters of Jordan and Edward. Jordan is 15 at the time of the plane crash - brash, confident, and sometimes angry. He has just started his first romantic relationship with a girl. Eddie is 12, serious, smart, attached to his parents, and still more little-boy than teenager. Eddie and Jordan are unusually close given the fact that they are home-schooled by their father. Eddie adores his older brother.
