Lesson 1 (from Chapter One)
Objective
Students should read the descriptions of God's throne room in both Isaiah and John. The intent of this lesson is not only to find the differences in the accounts, but also to identify any similarities.
Lesson
1) Read and record (homework) - Students should read Isaiah 6 and Revelation 4. As they read, they should notate the things that stand out to them. Also write a brief summary of how the two reports are similar and in what ways they differ. This can be done in class if desired.
2) Class discussion - Based on their notes and discussion from the previous night, students should discuss the similarities and differences they found between the two narrations of the throne room of God.
3) Visual representation - Each student should choose one aspect of these descriptions of the throne room of God of which they can draw a picture or visually represent...
