Objective
The objective of this lesson is to examine how Maas presents background information and how backstories are used in Chapters 1-2 of A Court of Frost and Starlight. Authors have many different ways to communicate what has happened to characters in the past. Maas frequently uses characters' memories to reveal information from the past.
