Objective
The objective of this lesson is to examine Keiko's uniqueness and how she was different from other children. Keiko was frequently getting in trouble as a child. The way she responded to situations got her in trouble and she did not understand why.

Class Discussion: What are three incidents that Keiko relates to show how she was different from other children? Why were her actions considered abnormal? Could they be considered neurodivergent? How did her actions seem logical to her? What did it take for her to understand that her actions were wrong? Did she ever understand why they were wrong? How did her parents, teachers, and a therapist try to help her? Why did she finally decide to quit talking and either copy other people's actions or follow instructions? How would you describe the way that Keiko was different from other children?
