Have the students create an illustrated children's version of one of the stories in this collection. Make sure they are careful to avoid the more adult content when necessary.

Fable Morals

Split the class into groups and assign each group a certain number of the stories in this collection. Have the students work together to create a one lined moral for that story similar to the ones found at the end of all of Aesop's Fables.

Symbol Art

Split the class into groups and assign each group one of the prevalent symbols from these stories. Have each group prepare a work of art depicting their assigned symbol and what it signifies. Have each group present their art and explain their artistic choices.
