Objective
Students will analyze the interaction between the Seeker and Papa Davina to understand the theme of desperation and search for solutions. The meeting between the Seeker and Papa Davina in Chapter 1 portrays a vivid picture of a quest for wisdom and answers.
Lesson
Class Discussion: How is the setting and atmosphere depicted during the Seeker's interaction with Papa Davina? How do these elements contribute to the theme of desperation and the search for solutions? How does the symbolism of the ritual reflect the Seeker's quest for answers?
