Objective
We are introduced to the setting, characters and history of the book. Because "Children of Dune" is in a series, not a stand alone novel, understanding who each character is, their past, and the current role they play, is important. The objective of this lesson is to get a good understanding of who the characters are and the roles they play as well as the setting and context/history of the book as it is part of a series.
Lesson
1. For class discussion: What is the setting of this story including time frame and overall location? Where does the story begin? What is the world like? How is it different from our world?
