Objective
The objective of this lesson is to discuss Governor Marcello Dragna, and the type of person he is. Governor Marcello Dragna is the father of Scarlett and Tella. He is a brutal man and controls his daughters by punishing the sister of the offender.

Class Discussion: What is learned about Governor Dragna in Chapters 1-5? What does Scarlett reveal about him? What does the scene in the basement with Scarlett, Tella, and Julian indicate about the type of man Governor Dragna is? How does the governor punish Tella when he thinks it was Scarlett who was spending time with Julian? Why is Scarlett so afraid of her father? How would you describe the type of person that Governor Dragna is?
