· In “Lena Stopp (1976),” Lena is worried about her daughter, Turtle.

· Finally, when Turtle finds her husband at a cousin’s house half drunk, she drags him to the backseat of her car next to their six-month-old son, Ever.
· She drives out of Oklahoma, through Texas, and to Mexico to visit Everardo’s parents.
· Everardo sobers up instantly when they drive up to his parent’s house.
· Lena thinks Everardo is moody because he is selfish.
· When Everardo’s mother, Lucia sees her son, she hugs him.
