Objective
The objective of this Daily Lesson is for students to analyze Gorman's descriptions of the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic through her poems in Part I. In this section, Gorman explores the confusion, disorientation, and difficulties people had in interpreting the advice, meaning and implications of the imposed isolation and fear the global pandemic wrought.

Class Discussion: What aspects of living through the COVID-19 pandemic does Gorman focus most significantly and strongly on through her poems in Part I?
