Objective
Cadillac Desert: The American West and Its Disappearing Water is a book about land development and water policy in the U.S. by environmentalist and writer Marc Reisner. Reisner's revisionist history embodies a new approach in its thematic selection of events used to tell a new history of the West and the greed and competitiveness behind the American Dream. In this lesson, students are introduced to the book and will research and discuss historical revisionism and Marc Reisner.
