Write Your Own Fairy Tale

After studying what common themes mark a fairy tale, have students write their own as though they are the Grimm Brothers. Any character types and elements can be used.

Acting

Have each student pick a different fairy tale and turn it into a short skit. Then have students be put into small groups and take turns acting out each other's skits in front of the class.

Movie Time

The teacher should choose Grimm tale that has been remade into a movie and show it in the classroom.

Modern Tale

Have students choose a fairy tale and re-write it in modern times then present it to the rest of the class.
