Write a Poem
Give students the opportunity to write and perform a poem of their own in the style of "Open Night Fridays" from the book. Students may discuss the process and what they learned from performance.
Draw the Setting
Allow students the opportunity to draw a setting of any story of their choosing, using the text as a guide.
Film
Give students the opportunity to cast a film of the narrative from "Bronx Masquerade". Who would they choose to play each role? Why?
News Article
Ask students to look in their local newspaper for an article that involves some aspect of the poems or narrative, and bring it to class. They will present it in front of the class and explain why it relates to the book.
