Interviews

On the internet, there are many clips of interviews with Patty Duke over the years. See if students can find excerpts of these for viewing in the class. If possible, see if they can find her "infamous" Oscars speech in which she was intensely manic.

Ask the class to bring in different award-winning films in which Patty Duke performed and watch excerpts of these to gain understanding of her extreme talent, both as a child and as an adult. The Miracle Worker and Me, Natalie are both good examples.
