Objective
The objective of this lesson is to examine why Sami feels guilty that his mother and Sara are at the mall when it is bombed, and what is revealed about healthy guilt and false guilt. Sami persuades his mother to go to the mall to pick up football boots he has ordered. While his mother and sister are at the mall, it is bombed.

Class Discussion: Whose idea is it for Sami's mother and sister to go to the mall on that Thursday? Is it likely that Sami's mother would have gone to the mall if Sami had not begged her to pick up his football boots? How does Sami feel when he learns that his mother and sister were at the mall when it was bombed? How does he feel responsible? What does his mother say when it is his fault? What is revealed...
