Write an essay for ONE of the following topics:
Essay Topic 1
Conley describes a few Love In Action participates in detail, though we only know them by the letters of their first names--"J," "S," and "T." Select one of these three participants and describe their journey within Love In Action. Do they seem to be receptive to the program? Does their behavior change? Though you may consider how their experience or attitude influences Conley, focus on the individual of your choosing and his or her own experience. Use evidence from the text to support your claims.
Essay Topic 2
The Bible is the touchstone text for the Christianity espoused by Conley's family and friends, as well as by Love In Action. Conley punctuates his narrative with verses taken from the Bible.
