Objective
The objective of this lesson is to discuss the limitations of being in the social class of Naranpa and her family, and how Naranpa rose above her class. Naranpa grew up in the Maw and was a beggar. She caught the notice of a Sun Priest, and she eventually became a Sun Priest herself.

Class Discussion: What dreams did Naranpa and her brothers have? How is the place where Naranpa grew up different from where the Sky Made lived? What did Naranpa dream of studying? What was the only way that she could go to the celestial tower? What were to be her duties for the priests? Did Naranpa move from her home and become a servant? Whose notice did Naranpa catch? How did she become a Sun Priest? How did she rise above her class?
