Jack Sawyer

This character is the main character in the story. He or she had been a police detective but retired after seeing a disturbing scene. This character rescues one of the children that have been kidnapped by a killer. This killer is shot and nearly killed at the end of the story but instead is rescued and taken to the Territories where this character had originally been from.

Charles Burnside

This character built the Black House. This character is a resident at a nursing home but is actually the Fisherman killer who kidnapped a child.
