Objective
The objective of this lesson is to examine the author's life and writing. Liane Moriarty is the author of Big Little Lies. She is an Australian author, who has written a number of best-selling books.

Class Discussion: What was Moriarty's first publishing deal? How did Moriarty's sister inspire her to begin writing fiction? Do both of her sisters inspire her as she writes? What was the first book she wrote and how was it a part of her coursework for her master's degree? How does Moriarty do her research for her books, especially Big Little Lies? How does she often get inspiration for her books? What is Moriarty's writing schedule? What does she enjoy about writing? Are there things she dislikes about writing?
