Lesson 1 (from Chapters 1-9)
Objective
The objective of this lesson is to examine Pino's reaction to the music he hears when he returns home after the bombing, and what is revealed about survival. Until the bomb at the movie theater, Pino has never seen dead people before. He is so horrified by what he sees that he begins to cry. When he gets home and they are playing music, he is shocked that music is being played like nothing has happened.
