Objective
Students will consider the genre of historical fiction. They will learn about the history of this novel and make predictions about the themes that will be explored in the text.
Behold the Dreamer is a work of historical fiction. It takes place in New York City and deals with historically accurate events and situations using fictional characters. The genre of historical fiction is used to tell true stories that take place in the past.
