Because of Mr. Terupt has all the student's voices chiming in, and building the stories of each chapter together. Why is the novel told in so many different voices? How does the structure of each part contribute to the overall story? Why is this the best choice for the story? Finally, how does the structure of the novel contribute to the story, or how does the structure show what is at the heart of the story?

In the beginning of the novel, Jessica says she hopes there is a happy ending. By the end of the novel, Luke says there is a happy ending. How does a happy ending come a full circle? Does a happy ending mean nothing painful happens? Finally, is there anything else in the novel that comes around or comes full circle?
