Chapter Titles

Have the students choose some of these chapters from the book and create title pages that show the content and feeling of those chapters.

Personal Vows

Annie gets into trouble when she breaks some personal vows. Have the students write out some personal vows for themselves.

Adoption Education

Hold a lesson on adoption and how it works. Maybe even have someone who works for an agency or someone who has adopted a child come to class and talk about their experiences.

Alternate Ending

Have the students write an alternate ending as if Annie had not given her child up for adoption.

Pregnancy Options

Bring some pamphlets to show the students ALL the options Annie had when she found out she was pregnant and discuss whether or not they think she made the right choice.

Personal Diary

Annie keeps a diary that helps her quite a bit...
