Titles

Have the students break into groups. Have each group create a new and more fitting title for this book. Make sure they are ready to defend their choice.

Art in Multiple Mediums

Have students create a piece of art in any medium that portrays one of the basic themes of the book. Have different groups do different themes, and then have the class view all the different works.

Auction

Enable students to hold an auction of goods and services in the class. Each student can offer a service or good like cookies, works of art, massages, etc. Money or canned goods can be used for the bidding, and these items can be donated to a charity or organization in need.
