Web Page
Students may create a web page which details the persons of the text. Students may choose images of actors, real people, historical images, etc. Students should ensure the privacy of the web page to prevent copyright infringement over any images.
Write a Letter
Ask students to write a letter from one person to another in the text. What would they write about?
Draw the Setting
Have students draw one of the descriptions of the setting in the text, or create a model or collage of the setting described.
Other Works
Give students an opportunity to read one of the author's other works and write a comparative paper discussing the similarities and differences in style, themes, and structure.
Improv Sketch Comedy
Each student chooses a character from the novel and groups of 2-3 come together to create an ad-libbed improv sketch parodying the novel. Students can interject...
