Make a Recording

Amina has a good voice but she has to learn to find the courage to sing in public. Make a recording of yourself, singing your favorite song, reciting your favorite poem, or telling your favorite story.

Pack a Wagon

Amina's group at school is assigned a project in which they choose the items they would take on a trip across the Oregon Trail. Pretend you are packing your own wagon. Make a list of the items you would consider a necessity. Remember to keep your items in keeping with the historic time period when pioneers were traveling the Oregon Trail. As an alternative, pretend you are going on a trip across the country in modern times. How would you choose what to take on the trip? What kind of items are necessities and what kind of items are simply things you want?
