Objective
The objective of this lesson is to examine the political situation in Chapters 1 and 2 in Afterlives, and what is revealed about colonialism. Events in Chapters 1 and 2 take place during the time the Germans are trying to secure their power in East Africa. They brutally put down any resistance to their authority.
