Objective
The objective of this lesson is for students to explore the author’s background and personal interest in the subject matter reflected in the story. Students will discuss and research information like where the author is from, how old he is and what other books or stories the author has published. Students will consider how this information might impact their reading.

Class Discussion: Who is the author of "A Tiny Feast"? Where is he from? What year was the story published? How was this work received by the public? What other works has the author written? How might the author’s background influence your reading of the book?
