· For the last ten years, he has spent up to six months in the country at a time.
· He is tired of it, and he longs to go home and be with his wife Georgiana.
· He hears a faint sound of metal on metal, and he wonders if is djinn living in the walls.
· Wesley Dalton and his manservant, Moustafa, greet him.
· Dalton wonders if the item Archibald is carrying is “the item” (4).
· They are members of the Hermetic Brotherhood of al-Jahiz.
· They enter the room and see Alistair Worthington, who founded the Brotherhood...
