Karla Faye Tucker-Brown, convicted of two brutal murders in 1983, is executed in Texas. She is the first woman to be executed in the United States in the decade and the first in Texas since 1863. On 30 March, Judias V. Buenoano, who poisoned her husband, is electrocuted in Florida; she is the first female put to death in the state in 150 years.
