On Monday afternoon McVeigh called a cab that drove him to a McDonald's near Elliott's Body Shop. The chain restaurant's security camera caught McVeigh on the videotape. From there, McVeigh walked the mile or so to the truck rental agency. However, some believe he may have gotten a ride to the body shop. Although it was raining, the employees at Elliott's Body Shop thought that McVeigh's clothes were dry when he entered the shop. In addition, two employees noticed that a second man had entered the shop with McVeigh. The second man was described as having a square jaw, a tattoo on his upper arm, and wearing khaki pants and a blue-and-white baseball cap. The other man did not speak while he was there. When McVeigh left with his rental truck, the time-date stamp on his receipt was 4:19 P.M.
