Royal tombs are built at Alaca Hoyiik in central Anatolia. Each of these Anatolian Early Bronze Age shallow rectangular earthen tombs, perhaps originally roofed over with logs, contains a single elite burial accompanied by vessels made of gold and silver, copper-alloy standards, and jewelry of lapis lazuli and other stones.
