Description
Westley is a young farm boy when we first see him. He is strong and dependable but very poor. Westley is very much in love with Buttercup, but she does not recognize his love at first. Westley is purportedly killed by the Dread Pirate Roberts, but he actually becomes the Dread Pirate Roberts.
Westley returns to find that Buttercup is about to marry Prince Humperdinck. Westley rescues her from the kidnappers and finally reveals his identity to her. They profess their love once again and plan to run away together. After being captured by Humperdinck, Westley struggles to stay alive. He eventually saves Buttercup, and the two live happily ever after.
