James Cameron's movie, The Terminator was a low-budget science fiction film that became a box office hit grossing $38 million and lead to subsequent successes for the two sequels. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was almost unknown at the time, became a major superstar overnight. His line, "I'll be back" became a popular phrase with almost everyone from children to adults.
The Terminator played upon the fears surfacing among audiences as machines began to take over more jobs traditionally completed by humans. After the first Terminator film, people worried that machines would eventually take over all jobs. Cameron continued to play on these fears, leaving nagging questions with the second film.
The Terminator seeks to answer the question, "What would happen if machines began to act like humans?" We see in the film, if machines acted like humans, they would do the same things humans do - except emotions. Humans fight...
