Tom Twyker has one of the most unique styles in film today. He uses interesting features in every film that he creates, and Run Lola Run is one of his best. In this film, we see a number of symbolic features and many interesting cinematographic quirks.
When the film begins, we first see two quotations that help create the mood and background for the entire film. Then we watch as a cartoon character of Lola runs through a maze as if she is in a frantic hurry. The hectic pace of the film is set before the credits have even finished running. Throughout the rest of the film, we watch as Lola continues to run on a mission to save the man she loves.
