Passion and Murder
Passion and murder are central themes throughout the movie and drive many of the characters, if not all of the characters. It is Bill's passion for Beatrix that leads him to arranging the murders of Tommy and everyone at the wedding rehearsal, as well as the shooting of Beatrix. Ir is Beatrix's passion for revenge that leads to her killing all the members of DiVA and then Bill, himself.
Passion and murder also drive Elle Driver. She has passion for killing, but it is also her passion for winning Bill's favor and seeing Beatrix suffer that result in her killing of Budd and her fight with Beatrix.
Murder is obviously the business of DiVA. They are cold blooded, highly trained assassins. In the end they are victim to their very practice. The movie combines passion with murder to make the inextricably combined. The two central characters...
