Hattori Hanzo Sword
The Hanzo swords in the film represent the epitome of killing tools, coveted by the killing machines--the members of DiVA. They represent their passions, their hatred, their jealousy, their lust for murder.
The swords play an integral part in a number of scenes including the final two killings of Beatrix's revenge - Elle and Bill, though neither character dies by the use of a sword. In fact, in both final battle scenes the swords become encumbrances more than assets. This symbol is based on the fact that those feelings that the sword represents blinds the characters, it is only Beatrix who saw beyond these feelings and was able to kill Elle and Bill during sword battles (though she did not kill them with the sword).
