Description
Johnny is a loving husband and father. He wants only the best for his family, so he brings them to America. They believe that in America everything will suddenly get better, but Johnny quickly discovers that Manhattan isn't at all like what he expected.
Johnny has big dreams of becoming an actor. Although he is talented, the city is full of actors and most people aren't looking for anyone else. Johnny struggles through months of frustration before he finally gets a decent job.
Like the rest of the family, Johnny still struggles to get over the death of his young son, Frankie. He knows that the new baby can't take his place, and Johnny is terrified that something will happen to Sarah too. In the end, everything works out just fine, and Johnny is able to enjoy another child with his family.
