Newspaper Room
Walter and Hildy have spent their lives in the newspaper room. Both love the business and have let it take over their lives to the detriment of their relationship. Hildy has decided that she is tired of working and finishing second to the newspaper, but Walter realizes that she will never be able to give it up.
Much of the film revolves around the newspaper room, as Walter tries to remind Hildy of the life she loves both at the newspaper and with him. After her first interview, Hildy is constantly running in and out of the room, and the other men even realize that she can never give up her first love.
