Journey
All of life is a journey, but Andrew takes a very specific journey and on the way he learns some life lessons. Andrew travels not only back home but back through his past. As Andrew shares the truth about his past with his friends and reexamines what happened himself.
The journey motif is the most common in both literature and film, but the reason for its popularity is that you can see a person at one point in his or her life and see how one journey changed the person.
