Stonehenge History
The ancient ruin known as Stonehenge stands on the open field of Salisbury Plain two miles (three kilometers) west of the town of Amesbury, Wiltshire, in Southern England. Stonehenge is one of the greatest mysteries in the world. It involves many stones that weigh up to 80 000 pounds each standing upright. There's a series of procedures that were need to make Stonehenge. There where three building phases in which all the events happened.
Stonehenge is located on the Salisbury plain in southern England and has been there for thousands of years. It is a 4000-year-old mystery that puzzles scientists for ages and visitors who come see it. Each phase of the building process is stretched over 1000 years. Many of the massive stones standing on the plain where moved to the site from up to 400 km. Rumors say the site was used for about 500 years then abandoned.
