Is It Okay to Lie? under What Circumstances Might Lying Be Acceptable?
Summary: The Catechism of the Catholic Church says bad will and bearing false witness is equivalent to lying which is terrible as a Christian. Our own parents teach us not to lie as it can hurt someone, yet humans continue to lie, especially people in positions of power such as politicians.
It all depends on the meaning of the question itself. There are circumstances in our world that makes lying required. Of course it is still not seen as obliged in any way in the Catholic faith. Our own parents teach us not to lie as it can hurt someone, yet humans continue to lie, especially people in positions of power such as politicians. Politicians, adults, the people that tell us not to lie, do lie. Politicians consistently lie whether it is about allegations or just simple questions about themselves.
