Starry Night is his most famous and mysterious works. The painting is oil on canvas, and the first thing that stands out is the sky, which takes up most of the background. Its lines look like they are swirling around like waves. They come together in the center making a spiral. Eleven yellow stars that look like fireballs contrast with the blue sky.
