Peter Skryneckis Poems Analysis
A Journey involves challenges and obstacles which extend one's understanding of the world and self. Peter Skrzynecki's poems `Crossing the Red Sea' and `Feliks Skrzynecki' all reveal the concept of Physical Journey through their exploration of the migration of Europeans to Australia after the irreversible effects of World War two. In a similar way, the documentary `Tales from a Suitcase' also looks at the concerns and challenges of migrants coming to a new land and trying to absorb its cultural differences. Victor Kelleher's book cover `The Ivory Trail' also incorporates visual techniques to create an exotic atmosphere in order to convey the concept of physical journey.
