Effect of Ph on Enzyme Activity
Hypothesis: Some parts of the plate will be white and some blue black in color. The parts that are blue black will indicate that there is still starch present there so around the 6 holes that are made there will be less or no blue black color seen.
Independent variables: The dilution added to the 6 different holes in the starch and agar plate as some were acidic and some alkaline and the too in-turn had different concentrations and ph.
Dependent variables: The blue-black color as well as the white color as they change with the ph of the solutions.
Control variables: The temp i.e. 35oC, the time that was 24 hours and the amount of alkali and acid added in drops to the amylase solution.
