Opposition to Embryonic Stem Cell Research
Summary: Embryonic stem cell research is a highly controversial issue that demands attention by not only scientists and biologists, but by politicians, religious activists, and everyday people. Embryonic stem cell research is a highly controversial issue that demands attention by not only scientists and biologists, but by politicians, religious activists, and everyday people. The process of this research involves taking an embryo in the blastocyst stage, and manipulating it to become whichever type of cell is needed. I personally disagree with embryonic stem cell research for more reasons than one. The first reason I oppose this research is linked to my religion. Being a Christian, I believe life begins at conception, which would make this researching process equivalent to murder. The second reason I disagree with this research is because of what it implies. The entire process of embryonic stem cell research suggests that one life has more value than another, and that contradicts my personal beliefs.
